Hello, welcome to my new website called Mountain view vanners. My name is Sal, I am 33 years old and I live in the great state of Michigan. I have always enjoyed and love being around animals all of my life. My parents gave me my first pet at the age of seven and his name was Oscar. They gave me the responsibility of feeding, walking, caring and cleaning up after him. I really enjoyed my experience of taking care of him, and through this experience began my love and admiration for all animals. After my first pet passed away I believe I was around ten years old when I became fascinated with horses.
I remember watching old re-runs of old western movie and how they used horses to travel back and forth along dusty trails. I would sit for hours looking at how beautiful and intelligent horses were. I then turn to my parent and ask could I have a miniature horse for my birthday, of course I was denied because my parents didn’t have the money to buy him, let a lone feed him. After being rejected,( which was understandable) I then asked if we could visit the zoo, which was a more appropriate question at this time. I began going to the zoo or at least asking to go, once a month until I was old enough to ride the bus and take matters into my own hands.
I was about 17 yrs old at the time. As I got older into my twenties I began working full time at a factory, but reading and researching my passion for horses in my spare time. My best friend jay, also shares an interest in horses, has always commended me on my commitment for my passion for horses. My passion for horses will always be the love of my life and I will continue my personal education as it relates to them. I have created this website with the intent to educate my reader and friends regarding the history of horses and the importance of their role in our society.
…Please stay tune for more.
